What we can help with

  • Corrections. If an article is inaccurate, out of date, or unclear, tell us which article and which passage. Corrections take priority over everything else in the inbox.
  • Article suggestions. Tell us what you were trying to find out and could not.
  • Source questions. If you cannot locate an official page we cited, we will point you to it.
  • Privacy requests. Access, deletion, or opt-out requests under privacy laws. See our Privacy Policy.
  • Copyright notices. Follow the procedure in our DMCA Policy.
  • Accessibility problems. See our Accessibility Statement.

What we cannot help with

This matters, so we would rather be direct than have you wait on an answer that is not coming. We cannot:

  • Review, evaluate, or advise on your individual claim, bill, policy, denial letter, or benefit decision;
  • Give legal, financial, insurance, or medical advice, or tell you what you should do in your situation;
  • Tell you whether you qualify for a benefit or program, or predict what any decision-maker will do;
  • Contact an insurer, plan, provider, employer, or government agency on your behalf, or represent you in any capacity;
  • Refer or recommend a lawyer, advocate, insurer, provider, or any other company or professional;
  • Review documents you send us. Please do not email medical records, claim files, account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive personal information. If you send them, we will delete them without reading them in detail.

For help with a specific situation, the free and unbiased sources named at the end of each article are the right starting point — government agencies, state insurance departments, and established nonprofit programs.
